Paws & Relax is a brand new facility designed from top to bottom with your four-legged friend in mind. We boast two large, indoor play rooms, with elevated electrical outlets and heating for your dog's safety. In addition, we feature rolled-rubber flooring designed for comfort, durability and sound reduction. This flooring is specifically designed to provide joint protection and shock absorption for your dogs while running and jumping. This surface is much better on dogs' joints than the usual tile or concrete flooring found at most doggie day cares.

For those owners suffering from their own separation anxiety, or those who just want to check in on their dog, we also offer "Pooch Watch" -- live webcams that can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection. If you are unsure of the day's password, give us a call.

In addition to our 1,700 square feet of indoor play space, we offer 1,300 square feet of outdoor playspace. The entire area is covered in K9 Grass™ -- artificial grass designed specifically for dogs by ForeverLawn . "Its unique features help promote a cleaner, safer, better-smelling environment for pets" and the residents of the apartments near our facility. Its special design offers "flow-through backing, short dense blade structure, and antimicrobial protection." -- ForeverLawn.

To add some fun and excitement to our outdoor play area, we looked at a wide variety of play equipment. Most children's play systems pose a variety of safety hazards for dogs, including holes that can trap toes, platforms at heights from which it is dangerous for dogs to jump, and surfaces that collect, trap, or absorb liquids. We have installed outdoor playground equipment that is specifically designed for dogs. The heights, widths, and general design of our equipment promote both safety and the development of dogs' confidence and social skills. The tunnels built into the ramps, bridges, and stairs provide places for less confident dogs to gain control of their environment and allow their confidence to grow at the pace that is correct for each individual dog.

For our overnight guests, we are not using wire kennels or chainlink fencing. Instead, we offer "Free Range Boarding," in which the dogs have free range of the facility. The dogs love choosing to sleep wherever they choose. We provide dog beds and blankets for them. Many pups love to curl up on the couch, and some even snuggle in bed with the staff member working the overnight shift.
